About
Nicole von Mohr was born in Mexico City, Mexico in 1992. She is currently completing her BA in Visual and Critical Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her practice navigates across foundry work, both professionally and artistically, as well as an active reader and writer in critical theory. She is particularly interested in the different nuances of languages, specifically in translation theory used as a philosophical lens concerning questions of subjectivity. Her latest research focuses on a philological analysis of different origin myths as the starting ethos to destroy and alter the presumed framework of “wholeness.” Nicole lives and works in Chicago.
